Military embracing staff salute Medal of Honor recipients

At the annual Medal of Honor Host City program in Gainesville, Texas last week, A&M-SA was the sole university present to recognize the incredible service of the Medal of Honor recipients. Military Relations staff members Richard Delgado Jr., Joy Hutchinson, and Tim Smith attended the national program and met as many as 21 of the living Medal of Honor recipients. They also joined community and high school presentations on the patriotic message of the Recipients. A&M-SA is the first institution of higher education in Texas to embrace the Medal of Honor Foundation’s Character Development Program, which provides programs to JROTC Cadets in and around San Antonio high schools.
