Dr. Lisa Colvin, adjunct faculty member in the Department of Health and Kinesiology and a high performance coach, recently traveled to Europe to support one of her athletes, Patton Sims, as he competed in the ITU World Duathlon Championships. Dr. Colvin has been coaching Sims, now 17 years old, for the past four years, applying the same kind of exercise physiology and counseling knowledge she imparts to A&M-SA students. Sims won his first world championship on July 8 in Odenske, Denmark, with Coach Colvin on hand to help celebrate.
