The San Antonio Museum of Art opened their doors on March 1st, 1981 after a $7.2 million dollar renovation was made for the new location. Proudly standing as the only encyclopedic museum of fine art in South Texas, the San Antonio Museum of Art has a collection that spans 5,000 years and touches all parts of the globe.
