Faculty Fellowships
The Center for Academic Innovation launched three Faculty Fellow opportunities in 2024/25.
These faculty fellowships are intended to encourage exploration, study, and sharing of pedagogical approaches and highlight the teaching excellence of A&M-San Antonio faculty members. CAI Faculty Fellows are recognized campus leaders who work closely with CAI’s executive director to ensure that Center programming is aligned and engages with the topics, ideas, questions shared by A&M-San Antonio faculty.
- The first two Faculty Fellowships for 2024/25 are focused on Quantitative Reasoning to enhance the campus’ knowledge and understanding of the Qualitative Enhancement Plan (QEP).
- The third Faculty Fellowship for 2024/25 focuses on strategic planning for the Center, including communicative strategies, the formation of a Faculty Advisory Board, and the establishment of faculty coaching and well-being programs.
All full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty who have a demonstrated commitment to faculty success and Center initiatives are encouraged to apply for future fellowship opportunities. Quantitative Reasoning Fellow
Chin-Yen Alice Liu is is a Quantitative Reasoning (QR) fellow with the Center and an Associate Professor in the College of Business at A&M-San Antonio. She earned her Ph.D. in Production Operations Management from Texas Tech University. Her research spans supply chain management, operations, quantitative methods, and higher education performance. Her scholarly contributions have been widely recognized, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses and volunteering with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program during tax season, exemplifying her commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
