Funding Opportunities
Deadline for the Conference Attendance Award:
- Please submit proposal by June 1 for Fall conference attendance.
- Please submit proposal by Nov. 1 for Spring conference attendance.
Conference Attendance Awards
The first opportunity provides substantial support for conference attendance, offering up to $1,500 each for up to 10 faculty members who wish to participate in verified academic conferences. This funding enables professors to engage with peers, present research, and bring fresh insights back to their classrooms. The only stipulation is that faculty members who receive conference support offer a talk to the University community on their conference topic.
Quality Enhancement Plan Instructional Grant
The Center has established a separate funding stream aligned with the Quality Enhancement Plan, making available 15 individual awards of up to $500 each. These grants, limited to one per faculty member, are specifically designed to support instructional enhancement and course development needs that align with QEP objectives. The current QEP is centered on Quantitative Literacy/Quantitative Reasoning. Faculty who are looking for resources to help them develop or sustain a course that focuses on Quantitative Literacy/Quantitative Reasoning can apply for the funds.
Through these targeted financial resources, the Center for Academic Innovation actively invests in both faculty professional growth and curriculum advancement, ultimately enriching the educational experience. Faculty members interested in either funding opportunity are encouraged to submit a proposal through the Center, where each proposal will be evaluated based on its potential impact on academic excellence and alignment with institutional goals.
