Pedagogy Idea Exchange Group

Overview

The Center for Academic Innovation offers the opportunity to participate in a Pedagogy Exchange Group that provides faculty with a dynamic, collaborative space to share innovative teaching practices and learn from colleagues across disciplines. These informal yet purposeful gatherings create opportunities for instructors to discuss successful classroom strategies, troubleshoot classroom challenges and consider options, and explore new approaches to student engagement and learning. Meeting regularly throughout the semester, participants can present their teaching methods, receive constructive feedback, and adapt ideas from other disciplines to enhance their own courses.

Development Day lecture

The supportive environment encourages experimentation with new teaching techniques while providing a network of peers who understand the unique challenges of situations found in university instruction. Faculty members often discover that these exchanges spark creativity, refresh their teaching approaches, and lead to productive cross-disciplinary collaborations. By participating in a Pedagogy Exchange Group, instructors not only enhance their teaching effectiveness but also contribute to a campus culture that values educational excellence and continuous professional growth.
