Chuck A. Gregory
Chuck, a 24-year veteran of Terracon Consultants, Inc., is a Senior Principal in the firm also serving as Vice President and Regional Manager overseeing offices in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Laredo and Pharr, Texas. Mr. Gregory holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in civil engineering from Texas A&M University (Class of 1981) and has been a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas since 1987. Chuck has 35 years of experience as a Consulting Engineer with expertise in geotechnical engineering, construction materials engineering and testing and forensic engineering. His areas of technical expertise include soil stabilization, pavement design, pavement failure analysis and concrete technology. Along with report review and project management, other responsibilities include troubleshooting, mentoring, client development, staffing, planning and budgeting. At the Corporate level, he is a member of the Quality Committee and Pavements Committee.
Chuck has a long history of service and involvement in professional organizations. He is a current member of the Bexar Chapter of TSPE, served as Treasurer for Professional Engineers in Private Practice Bexar Chapter and is actively involved in the legislative process through TSPE’s PE Day at the Capitol. He is a graduate of the PE Leadership Institute (Class 3) and a regular participant in many of the activities of Engineer’s Week. In 2015 he was the recipient of TSPE’s Bexar Chapter, Engineer of the Year Award.
Chuck has held leadership roles in the American Council of Engineering Companies-San Antonio Chapter, American Society of Civil Engineers-San Antonio Branch, and the Geoprofessional Business Association (formerly ASFE). In 2013, he received the Lifetime Service Award from the San Antonio Chapter of the American Concrete Institute in recognition of his loyalty and dedicated service. He has provided leadership for two successful ACI International Conventions in San Antonio. In 1987, he served as the Chairman of the Publicity Committee. Twenty- two years later in 2009, he was Co-Chair of the Chapter Convention Committee. He is the author of award-winning papers and regularly speaks at local colleges and universities.
