Juanita Sepulveda
Juanita Sepulveda is a first-generation United States Marine Corps veteran, entrepreneur, and mother of seven children. After honorable service, Ms. Sepulveda opened Wee Ones Childcare which enabled her to become an entrepreneur but more important it allowed her to be the mother she hoped to be. This inspired her to return and pursue her education and be the model she felt her children needed. Ms. Sepulveda currently works and manages the clinic, The Brain Coach where she is able to continue working with active duty military and veterans using neuroscience-based strategies called Neurofeedback (NFB), also called Neurotherapy, Neurobiofeedback or EEG biofeedback. NFB is proven to be an effective intervention for insomnia, anxiety, and substance abuse, PSTD and TBI; a process used in gaining greater awareness.
Ms. Sepulveda attended Texas A&M University – San Antonio to earn a Master of Science and a Master of Education. She currently sits on the Foundation Board of Directors for Texas A&M University – San Antonio and the Center for Health Care Services, Board of Directors for SAMMinistries, San Antonio Busy Bodies, and Social Venture Partners. She serves on the City Commission on Veterans Affairs and Small Business Advocacy Committee. She has also served as President of Texas Business Women of San Antonio and Vice Chair of Hispanic Women Network of Texas. Ms. Sepulveda participates with the USO - Pathfinder Leadership Council to provide support to transitioning servicemembers, focus on the value of relationships, engage military spouses, model and facilitate conversation as well as informal networking. She also participated with Latina Leadership Institute designed to build skills, knowledge and confidence that today’s Latina Leaders need to succeed in their political aspirations of running for elected office, applying for positions on local, state, federal or corporate boards and commissions
With Ms. Sepulveda’s passion for Texas and Military City USA; the move back to Texas was a natural decision. Following encouragement from family and colleagues, she is Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Confidence & Company a local business focused on the development to bring stories of our “Unsung Heroes” to the forefront in support of women veterans and their families. Lastly, a partner of Tree Shaker, focused on continuing support of the development of women in professional careers and entrepreneurship. She considers it an honor to combine passion and experience to help make a difference in the community she lives, works and supports.
