Who We Are

Our Values

We are your voice, and as representatives of the student body, we advocate for your ideas and present your concerns to faculty and staff at the University. The Student Government Association (SGA) encourages student involvement and provides opportunities for the student body to develop a lifelong relationship with Texas A&M-San Antonio.

Committees

Being part of a committee is a great way to develop leadership skills and understand how the SGA works. Committees bring students together and provide diverse perspectives that help the SGA make the best decisions possible. SGA’s committees include the following:

Become a Senator 

Senators are the elected representatives from each of the colleges on campus. They provide the first line of contact students have with SGA when they have an idea or concern they would like to voice. Senators are publicly elected by the students from each college. As a senator, you can expect to receive leadership opportunities that allow you to work in teams that seek solutions to students’ challenges.

If you're interested in becoming a senator, please take the following steps:

  1. Join SGA on JagSync
  2. When your membership is approved, you’ll receive an email to schedule a brief interview to tell us more about your interests and background
