Jaguar Student Media outlets celebrate 8 state-wide First Place awards

Jaguar Student Media earned 14 awards from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association (TIPA), the most recognized and competitive collegiate journalism association in Texas. Students from the organization’s three media outlets were unable to attend the 2020 TIPA live contests in March as a result of conference cancellation and COVID-19 travel restrictions but were able to compete in the previously published category. Students received eight First Place awards across the magazine, online news, and broadcast.
