Office of Emergency Management
The Texas A&M –San Antonio Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is committed to openly engaging the University community to prepare, respond, and recover from local emergencies through an all-hazards approach. Our mission is accomplished by coordinating and sharing essential elements of information with the campus community, providing safety related training and programs, as well as providing business continuity guidance within the four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
The principle task of the Office of Emergency Management is to develop all-hazard plans and identify critical and key resources to allow the A&M-SA campus community the opportunity to recover from emergencies and disasters affecting our campuses. Our highest priority is to help provide a safer and secure environment for the A&M-SA community of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. OEM and UPD work cooperatively with all members of the community, Texas A&M System, City of San Antonio, and the Texas Division of Emergency Management to achieve this objective.
