Media Alert: Texas A&M University-San Antonio 10-Year Anniversary Exhibit Opening at Presidio Gallery Wall

WHAT:Texas A&M University-San Antonio’s (A&M-SA) 10-Year Anniversary Exhibit opens featuring a “Senator Frank Madla” and “Land before the University” displays and an oral history preview. The year 2019 marks an important milestone for A&M-SA — its 10-Year Anniversary of dedication and service to the community and students of San Antonio’s South Side and commitment to higher education excellence in the greater southern region of Texas. Ten years ago, on May 23, 2009, then-Governor Rick Perry signed into law Senate Bill 629, which created A&M-SA as a standalone university. A&M-SA will continue to celebrate other 10-Year Anniversary activities throughout the year.
WHO:Participating in the opening ceremony will be the Honorable Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff and A&M-SA President Cynthia Teniente-Matson.
