Media Alert: Texas A&M University-San Antonio teaches Girl Scouts about Patriotism

WHAT:

July 2 - Check out how Camp Metro attendees prepare for Independence Day by making stick flags, hearts and card for veterans, and paper wreaths.

July 3 - Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson will join Girl Scouts for the flag ceremony and will visit with them to see how they earn the Texas A&M Embracing Patriotism patch. After earning their patch Girl Scouts will proudly be able to state they have pledged to honor and dedicate themselves to their country, learning the values of commitment, respect, honor, courage and excellence.
