More than 800 students will walk the stage at Commencement
SAN ANTONIO — Texas A&M University-San Antonio is proud to celebrate the upcoming Spring 2023 Commencement, a momentous occasion that marks the culmination of hard work, dedication and academic achievement for our graduating students. A&M-San Antonio is thrilled to honor the accomplishments of these exceptional individuals during this momentous occasion. Scheduled to take place on May 20 at the Freeman Coliseum, the Spring 2023 Commencement ceremonies serve as an unforgettable celebration of success and a reflection of the University's commitment to fostering excellence in education.
“At A&M-San Antonio we strive to impact our student's intellectual growth and encourage them to use their education to make a positive difference in the world, serve our communities, and achieve their career goals,” University Interim President Dr. Linda Schott said. More than 800 graduates from diverse academic programs will gather with their families, friends, faculty and distinguished guests to commemorate their educational journey.
“For graduates, the commencement ceremony is a celebratory farewell to their time as a student and an entry into the world as Texas A&M University-San Antonio alumni." Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Abdelrahman said. "As they step into the next phase of their lives, they join a distinguished network of accomplished professionals who positively impact the South Side community and beyond.”
The ceremony will conclude with a special glow-in-the-dark party after the conferral of their degrees. The commencement ceremonies will take place Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. for the College of Arts and Sciences and 3 p.m. for the College of Business and College of Education and Human Development.
