- How do I apply?

- What are the admission requirements?
The admissions requirements include an overall 2.6 GPA, (1) curriculum vitae or resume, (2) one-page essay on student’s aspirations and the reason student wants to complete the MBA program, (3) One letter of recommendation, and (4) Official transcripts.
- Are GMAT scores required for admission?
GRE/GMAT scores are currently waived, contact MBA@tamusa.edu for more updated information.
- What other test scores will I need submit?
Applicants with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution: Equal to or greater than 2.6 overall or equal to or greater than 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours. The required GMAT Score is 450 or an equivalent GRE score of 298 will also suffice (waived for academic year 2022-2023). Texas A&M University-San Antonio Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) code: 7B7-9D-05 . Texas A&M University-San Antonio Graduate Record Exam (GRE) code: 6712 . International applicants must submit a satisfactory GMAT and TOEFL score in order to be considered for admission.
- Would I be assigned a specific advisor?
Yes. Advisors are assigned based on the first letter of the students’ last name.
- What is the deadline for registration?
The application deadline for Fall is July 15th. Spring Admissions is Dec. 2nd. (Note, only the Online MBA will have Spring admissions)
- What’s the wait time for an admissions decision?
After all the documents are received and the application is submitted, the wait time for an admissions decision is 2-3 business days.
- What is the total cost of the program?
The total cost for the 11-Month MBA Program is a set cost of $26,000. The same cost applies to both international and domestic students. The total cost for the Online Pathway Program is calculated using the tuition table available on our student business services webpage.
- Are the programs financial aid eligible?
Yes. Both the 11-Month MBA and the Online Pathways are eligible for financial aid.
- How do I apply for financial aid?

- When will payments be due and balances be reflected on my account?

- Who do I contact if I have any questions regarding VA benefits?

- How can I apply for an application fee waiver?
For application fee waiver questions, please contact graduate admissions at graduateadmissions@tamusa.edu
- Can I defer my TAMUSA MBA application, or do I need to complete a new application to?
If you applied for the previous term and paid the fee, then your application can be deferred to the next admission term.
- Can I apply or submit additional documentation after the deadline?
No. The application and supporting documentation must be submitted before/by the deadline.
- What visa documentation should I submit?

- Where can I upload additional documentation for the selection committee to review?
You can upload supporting documentation in your GradCAS application, under Support Info & Program Material.
- If my program of interest requires a writing sample, what are the requirements for format and length?
Application essays must adhere to the following requirements: 1 page length, double space, 11 pt. Calibri or 12 pt. Times New Roman.
- Can I submit my application before my recommenders submit their letters?
Yes.
- How many letters of recommendation can be included in my application?
Only 1 letter of recommendation is required.
- How many MBA programs do you offer? What are they?
There are two MBA programs, an 11-Month MBA and Online Pathways MBA
11-Month MBA Program
Only 11 months to complete.
Classes are held in the evenings.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will be in-person from 5:45PM-9:30PM.
Books are included in cost of program.
An international business experience is also included in the cost of the program, aside from flight costs / occasional meals.
Online MBA Pathways
Pathway A – 16 months to completion, students enroll in 3 classes, and only 1 class in final semester
Pathway B – 20 months to completion, students enroll in 2 classes each semester
Pathway C – 24 months to completion, students enroll in wither 1 or 2 classes per semester
- I have a question about a specific program, whom can I contact?

- Can I enroll in one or two courses, rather than a degree program?
If you are not seeking a degree, you may apply as a non-degree seeking graduate student. However, you must meet the departmental requirements to take certain graduate courses.
- Do I need to upload a transcript for a school from which I did not receive a degree or have not yet graduated?

- What if my grades are pass/fail or based on a non-traditional scale?
Grade bases on a non-traditional scale will be translated during pre-department review.
- When do I need to submit official transcripts?
Official transcripts must be submitted during the application process. Applicants will not be sent to the department review until all documents are submitted.
- Are TOEFL/IELTS scores waived?
We do waive TOEFL scores for certain countries. However, please contact the graduate program coordinator, international affairs office, or graduate admissions for eligibility.
- I missed the application deadline, can I still apply?
Unfortunately, you cannot apply after the deadline, however, we will be more than happy to get you ready and transfer any supporting documents to an application for the upcoming admissions term.
