Jaguars for Academic Growth and Success (J.A.G.S.)
Jaguars for Academic Growth and Success is program that helps graduate students who have dropped below the 3.0 GPA requirement. Graduate students who have been placed on scholastic probation, being reinstated, and/or on a SAP appeal are eligible for the program. The goal of J.A.G.S. is to help graduate students return to good academic standing, enhance their academic skills, and set them on a path to success in their degree program. Throughout this program, graduate students will be able to identify any obstacles they may have faced in the previous semester and can receive additional help to overcome these academic barriers.
Program Requirements
- Enrollment in J.A.G.S. program
- Review a short power point orientation
- Sign a Form of Agreement
- Meet their Graduate Academic Advisor before the semester begins (discuss degree plan and next steps)
- Meet once with an Academic Success Coach
- Must meet 3.0 GPA requirement to continue enrollment in concurrent semesters

- Meet with Instructor of Course (Highly Recommended)

Program Benefits
- Graduate students will have a support system to provide the resources and tools to be successful in the program and return to good academic standing
- Help the graduate student locate issues or obstacles they may have been facing in the previous semester
- Receive academic guidance on study habits, test preparation, organization, procrastination etc.
- Motive graduate students to work hard and not become discouraged
*Graduate Students will have an advising hold on their account until 3.0 GPA requirement is met at the end of the semester.
