ABA in Schools

Approximately 11% of Behavior Analysts are employed in the education sector (BACB, 2020a). In Texas, 80,557 students received special education services under the primary disability of ASD (Texas Education Agency, 2020). The Education Service Center Region 20 serves 19 counties including 15 school districts in Bexar County. Region 20 accounted for almost 10% of that number (i.e., 7,251) including 5,454 students from Bexar county alone, an increase of 8% (i.e., 6,658 reported the previous school year).
