Understanding Your Schedule
The Course Schedule lists important information you need in order to register, including each class offered with its time, location, instructor (if available) and unique number. Some changes have been made to the course schedule to encourage social distancing, a crucial strategy for a safe on-campus experience this academic year. Classes will be taught in a variety of formats this semester—face-to-face, hybrid (a blend of face-to-face and online), hyflex, and fully online. Below is an explanation of the column headings and abbreviations used in the listings.
- CRN
- The Course Reference Number (CRN) is a unique 5 digit identifier assigned to a class for registration purposes.

Instructor
- The name of the primary instructor for the course.
- Instruction Method
- Face-to-Face (F2F): Face-to-face courses are delivered through fully synchronous, in-person instruction in an assigned classroom for all students. The faculty member is in the classroom with all students for the regularly scheduled days/times.
- Hybrid (HYB): Hybrid courses utilize both online and in-person experiences. A hybrid class is designed for the instructor and students to meet in person part of the time and online other times. Some hybrid courses will be delivered synchronously online in place of an in-person meeting.
- HyFlex (HFX): HyFlex courses give students the option of attending sessions in the classroom, participating online, or doing both. Students can change their mode of attendance weekly or by topic, according to need or preference.
- Online (OLC): An online class is a class designed with the assumption that all students will participate in the main class experience online. Material in these classes may be presented synchronously or asynchronously. Students should refer to the Location to determine if their class is synchronous or asynchronous.
- Synchronous online classes (OLC-S): The class is taught online, and students are required to attend class at the scheduled time.
- Asynchronous online classes (OLC-A): The class is taught online, and students are not required to attend class at a scheduled time. All scheduled meetings are optional. Assignments and participation are due at specific times.
