ASPIRE Summer Camps

Hosted by Texas A&M-San Antonio, each summer camp program will provide campers with daily sessions and challenges in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. Each topic will be lead by community partners like local museums, national research organizations and A&M-SA faculty!

New for Summer 2025, ASPIRE students in elementary (grades 3 to 5) and middle school (grades 6 to 8) are invited to sign up! Campers are limited to selecting one week of camp fun and cannot register for both weeks. 

The Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camp takes place at the Texas A&M- San Antonio campus location with dedicated staff, and may include scheduled field trip excursions.

Summer Camp FAQs

Why should your student join the Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camp?

The Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camp will provide interactive activities, collaboration with organizations, and will give introductions to local museums, theatres, theme parks, animals, and fun educational lessons!

What grade levels will the summer camp be available to?

The Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camp is available to elementary (grade 3 to 5) and middle school (grade 6 to 8) students in the ASPIRE school districts.

What kind of fun learning sessions will be provided?

The Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camp will offer daily sessions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday that focus on Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Mathematics (STEAM)! These sessions may include lessons on e-gaming, theatre, nutrition, gardening, animals, and robotics. Daily sessions include learning conversations and hands on activities that will inspire and engage student participation.

Will there be a fee for the camp?

The camp is FREE to the ASPIRE school district students.

Do we need to get supplies for the camp?

No, Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camps will provide all needed materials for students through the week.

How long does the summer camp last?

The Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camp is offered Monday through Friday

Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.—4 p.m. Drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m., sessions are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with lunch included, and pick-up starts at 4 p.m.

Family Friday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m., sessions from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with lunch included, and pick-up starts at 11 a.m.

When will I get confirmation that my child got into the Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camp?

Once the registration form is complete, expect a response to your request within 1 to 2 business days. Our camp organizers will contact you via phone or email with more details.

Can a parent attend the camp with their child?

The daily camp experience is limited to the campers. However, parents and families are welcome to join us on Family Fun Friday, where parents can attend an informative session that includes breakfast snacks and a photo showcase of the amazing work the campers did all week! Family is encouraged to join their camper for lunch.

What if the summer camp I want is full?

If a summer camp week is full, we welcome you to complete the online waiting list form located in the same registration link above. If a space opens up, you will be notified via email by a Summer Camp representative.

Camp staff are members of the Enrollment Management Division and are dedicated to ensuring the campers of the Challenge to ASPIRE Summer Camp have an educational and entertaining week.
