Honors Application

The Honors Program application consists of three parts: a short essay, a resume, and references. The short essay and contact information for two references can be typed directly into the application form linked below. The resume can be uploaded.

Select one of the three prompts below to write your essay. The essay must be approximately 400-500 words in length. 

1. Considering your personal and career aspirations, how will an Honors Experience impact your ability to achieve your goals?
2. The Honors Program at Texas A&M University-San Antonio values interdisciplinary experiences (for example, science and art, mathematics and history, literature and kinesiology). Describe a time when you were successful because you used an interdisciplinary approach to solve a problem.
3. Explain the societal value of being educated. How does your accomplishing an education improve both your life and the lives of others?
   Your response should be 400 – 500 words.
