JED Campus Program:  Be a leader in supporting student mental health and preventing suicide

Colleges and universities have a unique and important role in supporting student mental health on campus. Building and maintaining support systems and networks to positively impact student well-being is critical for the student and the mission of the university. JED utilizes experience and expertise to help implement a safe environment for students and the campus community.

In Spring 2025, as a part of the JED Campus Program, A&M-SA will be partnering with the Healthy Minds Network to administer the Healthy Minds Survey.  Results from this survey will allow A&M-SA to better understand Mental Health on our campus and provide foundations to help us best serve our students.

Healthy Minds Network
The Healthy Minds Network is dedicated to improving the mental and emotional well-being of students through research and greater understanding.  The network provides resources to students, administrators, professionals, and the public with the goal of positively impacting students emotional and mental well-being.
Healthy Minds Survey: Students
The student survey examines mental health and mental health services utilization for undergraduate and graduate students.  Additionally, the survey will examine the campus climate as it relates to mental health and student wellbeing.
Healthy Minds Survey: Faculty and Staff
The faculty/staff survey examines perceptions regarding the ability to help students with mental health concerns.   Faculty and Staff can have a role in creating environments that impact student wellness and mental health.
How Can I Participate
A&M-SA Students, Faculty, and Staff will receive an email on April 2nd, 2025 inviting them to participate in the survey.  Within the email will be a link to access the survey.  Should you wish to participate, please select the link and proceed.  It is estimated that the survey will take between 25-30 minutes to complete. Participants who complete the survey will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes for various prizes.  For more information or questions, please contact Student Affairs Assessment at saa@tamusa.edu or the Division of Student Affairs at (210) 784-1354.
