Museums

 

Students, faculty, and staff of Texas A&M University-San Antonio can attend the following museums and receive free Admission when presenting their A&M-SA ID:

Please note that this may not include special exhibits. It is recommended to call ahead of your visit to confirm the opening and discount.

 

 

San Antonio is also home to a variety of other museums. See below regarding free and reduced admission fee times for area museums. Days and times may change, so for your best experience, please confirm with the museum before your visit.

Briscoe Western Art Museum
Free for SNAP, WIC, and MAP recipients with EBT card. Discount for active military and dependents.

DoSeum
Free every first Monday from 5:30–7:30pm. Must register online in advance. 

Holocaust Museum
Free Admission, but a $1 donation for students & $3 donation for adults is appreciated and recommended.

Institute of Texan Cultures
Temporarily closed in-person; digital exhibits are free online. 

McNay
Free for Active Military and veterans
Teens 19 & Under: $10
Children 12 & under: Free

Free H-E-B Thursday Nights: 4–9 pm (special exhibits $10) (and anytime for students, faculty, and staff with ID).  Free first Sunday of the month from 12pm-5pm. 

San Antonio Museum of Art
Free Tuesdays 4–7 pm & Sunday 10am-12pm.  Free for children 12 and under. 

San Antonio Fire Museum
Free First Tuesday of the Month 11am-2pm with reservation.  Free for military and SAFD (in uniform).
