Texas Public Educational Grant (TPEG)

The Texas Public Educational Grant program was established in 1975 to furnish financial assistance to needy students attending institutions of higher learning in Texas. Awards approved through this program are derived from a combination of federal and state funds.

Criteria for Eligibility:

The maximum award is $2,000 and based on:

  • Financial need
  • Cost of Attendance
  • Enrollment status of at least half-time. If enrolled less than full-time, you will receive a reduced amount.
  • Plans to attend for the full academic year or less (ex. Fall semester only)

Undergraduate Tuition Grant

The Undergraduate Tuition Grant is awarded to students who have financial need and are Texas residents but not eligible for the Texas Grant.

Graduate Tuition Grant

The Graduate Tuition Grant is awarded to student’s seeking a Master’s degree or teacher certification who have financial need and are Texas residents.
