15-Year Anniversary

In 2009 the seven-member crew of the Space Shuttle Atlantis repaired the Hubble Telescope, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) observed its 60th Anniversary, and the blockbuster movie “Avatar” was released. And closer to home, the Texas Legislature signed Senate Bill 629 May 13, which established Texas A&M University-San Antonio a standalone institution.

During the past 15 years, A&M-San Antonio has impacted lives and surrounding communities, providing access to quality education while becoming a catalyst for regional growth – with countless stories of the students, graduates, faculty and staff who are on a mission to discover, inspire, lead and create. As we commemorate A&M-SA's 15th anniversary, we are also excited about the next phase in the institution’s evolution and the strategies that will enhance the institution’s mission.
