Proctoring Options for A&M-SA Faculty and Students
The Texas A&M University-San Antonio Testing Center offers proctoring services for faculty and students at no cost. There are two ways you can request exam proctoring for your class:
- Ffaculty can submit exam requests for full class testing directly online through the Testing Center’s Professor Portal. Instructions on how to create an account and submit exams can be found here. Please have available the following information:
- Exam criteria
- Electronic class roster
- Electronic copy of exam (if exam is paper-based)
- Exams can also be submitted using the Proctored Exam Request Form for full class testing. Faculty can submit the form by email, by fax (210) 784-1445, or can drop the exam off in person at the Testing Center. Please submit the following information:
- Completed request form
- Class roster (leave student name blank)
- At least one copy of the exam (if exam is offered as a paper based exam)
It is strongly recommended that faculty give at least a three-day testing window for students to complete their exams. Please contact the Testing Center if there is a need to have students test on the same day at the same time. The Testing Center will do their best to accommodate the request and offer other options if the center is unable to accommodate all the students at the requested time.
By using the Testing Center to proctor you exams, you will be able to see when students schedule their exam and when the exam is completed. Completed paper-based exams can be scanned and emailed to you or you can pick them up from the Testing Center.
Students can schedule appointments through the Testing Center’s appointment scheduling system. If you choose to have your exam proctored through the Testing Center, be sure to provide information to your class about how they can schedule an appointment.
