The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) strives to protect our state's public health and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development. The computer-based versions of the TCEQ tests are very user-friendly and you will receive an immediate score upon completion of the test.
All applicants must be pre-approved by the TCEQ before applicants are eligible to take exams. Examinees are required to show proof of an approval letter from TCEQ to be eligible to test. Additional information can be found at https://www.tceq.texas.gov/.
Texas A&M-San Antonio Testing Center only offers Computer Based TCEQ Testing. A list of all available TCEQ exams can be found online through the TCEQ website.
The proctoring fee is $30.00, which will be required when you schedule your exam. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Exam candidates can schedule an appointment and pay online through our exam registration system linked below.
The TCEQ exam is offered Monday - Saturday starting at 9:00 AM and are offered throughout the day, please see the exam registration system for all available times.
On the day of the exam please provide the following information:
A current, valid government issued photo I.D.
Any authorized materials
All exams are authorized use of scratch paper and 4-function calculator, which are provided by the Testing Center.
Landscape Irrigation exam is allowed use engineering scale and graphing paper and Municipal Solid Waste exam is allowed use of the training manual, notes, rules, etc. These items must be brought by the exam candidate.
