La Familia Parent Workshops

Parent Workshops

Post-secondary education can be a daunting new chapter, so we want to break down those barriers and empower parents. College education IS possible for their student. Parents commit to five weeks of informative sessions to learn all about the college process.

These bilingual workshops provide parents with the knowledge and confidence to support their students in the college journey, ranging from starting those tough conversations about post-secondary education and how to navigate finding the right college fit to what support students can expect once they’re enrolled. These workshops connect parents with their student’s school district so they are connected to the support that is available for them beyond the workshop series.

The workshops end with a parent graduation ceremony, a celebration that commemorates parents' commitment to their student and their student’s college journey to come!
