Dean of Students Vision, Mission, and Values

  1. Vision:
    • The Dean of Students office works with students, families, faculty, and staff to create a robust campus environment and a culture of care in which students feel supported and empowered to succeed.
  2. Mission:
    • The Dean of Students Office fosters the development of civility, accountability, and responsibility at Texas A&M University-San Antonio; promotes a sense of community both in and outside of campus through intentional engagement, development, interventions, and partnerships opportunities. Provide education, advocacy, and support to encourage students to achieve success in their academic, social, and personal development.

      • Provide high-quality, intentional, services and programs in purist of personal, academic, and social development.
    • Integrity:
      • Our actions align with our values as we remain accountable to ourselves and our community.
    • Collaboration:
      • Through partnerships with campus and community partners, we find power in the sharing of ideas and resources to transform our students.

      • Acknowledge and respect individuals’ rights to express their views in the same manner as they would expect to have their own rights respected while treating each other civilly.

      • Supporting all members of our campus community through service, programs, and resources to empower individuals and impact our community.
