Tryout Information

Those interested in joining a team must go through tryouts before officially joining a team. If you are interested in going to tryouts, be sure to check out our Discord server for announcements on tryouts. Tryouts occur during the days of May/November will last at least a week, giving students ample opportunity to be considered if they have a busy schedule. Those that are interested must also meet minimum eligibility requirements:

• A minimum 2.0 GPA, and
• Enrolled as a full-time student

Benefits

Varsity Esports Teams that are a part of the Texas A&M San Antonio Esports Program consist of Overwatch, Valorant, Super Smash Bros., Chess, and Call of Duty. Students that are members of any Varsity Team are considered Student-Athletes to the University and recieve the athletic benefits via the Athletics Department. Benefits include:

• Coaching
• Scholarships
• Access to free merch
