A&M-San Antonio welcomes Heather Olague to the Student Affairs team as the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Cisneros Institute for Emerging Leaders. Olague reunites with Student Affairs from her former position as Director of First Year Experience.
Olague said, “I celebrated seven years with A&M-SA this past December, a couple of weeks after starting my new role, and have truly enjoyed my time here. The past two months have been a whirlwind of getting to know the team, understanding our opportunities & challenges, and working on branding the new scope of the Cisneros Institute.”
Olague has expressed an immense love for A&M-SA through her years of service. She has advocated for the growth of the CliftonStrengths program on campus and created a path for a successful First Year Engagement department while managing a staff of over 50 personnel.
“With over 12 years of higher education experience and countless hours dedicated to supporting, engaging, and promoting students, we know the Cisneros Institute is in great hands,” said Dr. Zeak Naifeh, Dean of Students.
“I look forward to collaborating across campus and within the community to enhance the work already underway while also seeing what new programs and services we can bring to our students,” said Olague.
