Common Experience 2016

"Every Interaction Matters: Choose, Act, Impact"

The 2016-2017 Common Experience theme is Every Interaction Matters: Choose, Act, Impact, which will be supported by the Common Reading text, The Butterfly Effect by Andy Andrews, and driven by an examination of civic responsibility.
About The Butterfly Effect

For the purposes of the theme, civic responsibility is defined as active participation in the public life of a community in an informed, committed, and constructive manner, with a focus on the common good (Gottlieb & Robinson, 2002). The inaugural theme was selected to honor A&M-San Antonios commitment to becoming a National Model for Student and Academic Success that embraces an inclusive environment that inspires learning, fosters social development, and provides transformative experiential learning opportunities.
