Emerging Leaders Certificate

The Emerging Leaders Certificate students will participate in leadership development workshops, civic engagement opportunities, 1:1 coaching, and complete a capstone experience. Engaged by thought leaders and challenged by industry innovators, students enrolled in the certificate program will be prepared to fill the rising demand for qualified professionals who can creatively address issues in a global society.

Graduates of the certificate program will become knowledgeable and skilled in the following areas:

  • Financial Literacy
  • Civility and leadership
  • Personal mission statement
  • Moral and Ethical Decision Making
  • Understanding and utilizing individual strengths

Upon completion of the certificate program, students will receive:

  • A completion certificate
  • A distinctive cord to wear at graduation
  • Credit on their experience transcript

To begin your leadership journey or if you are a returning student, please complete the following enrollment form. Once we receive your enrollment form, you will be enrolled in the certificate housed on Blackboard and follow the path to achieve your leadership journey.

All Texas A&M University-San Antonio undergraduate and graduate students.

Complete this enrollment form and the Cisneros Institute will reach out to you to enroll you in the virtual self-paced program.

This certificate is a virtual self-paced program that can be complete any time before graduation from Texas A&M University-San Antonio.

Where is the program housed?

The program is housed on Blackboard.

When is the deadline to apply for the program?

There is no deadline to apply. This program follows an open enrollment process.

If I had previously started the certificate, what should I do?

We ask that you complete the enrollment form and the Cisneros Institute will follow up with you to transition you into the virtual self-paced program. All the previous sessions you completed will be reflected in your transition.
