Spring 2017 Board of Regents Update

Dear Members of the A&M University-San Antonio Community:

Provost Mike O'Brien, VP Bill Spindle, and I represented Texas A&M University-San Antonio at the Texas A&M University System's Board of Regents meeting in College Station this week. I am pleased to report that the Regents approved our proposed agenda items, including appropriation of $56,700,000 for construction services and related project costs of the new Science and Technology Building. Construction will begin February 21 with an anticipated opening date of fall 2018. Project details and a date for the groundbreaking ceremony are forthcoming.

I hope you will join me in celebrating this milestone for A&M-San Antonio, which greatly enhances our strategic plan as we continue working toward becoming a National Model for Student and Academic Success.
