Dr. Matson Earns San Antonio Women's Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Comet Award

On Saturday, Nov. 10, the San Antonio Women's Chamber of Commerce Foundation presented Dr. Matson with its Comet Award during the organization's Constellation of Stars Awards Gala. In selecting Dr. Matson for the award, the chamber cited her leadership vision and actions that have put A&M-SA on a path to become a national model for student and academic success. The chamber further noted how the University's thoughtful and strategic position has paved a Pathway to Prosperity, an academic journey for students pursuing their aspirations. The Comet Award is given to a person who exhibits attributes of "advocating, connecting or empowering" others.
