University Flag to be lowered half-staff in memory of Mr. Greg Garcia

Dear Colleagues,

Dr. Matson has directed that the University flag be lowered to half-staff in memory of A&M-SA’s dear friend and dedicated supporter, Mr. Greg Garcia. As shared in Dr. Matson’s campus-wide message last week, Greg was central to the efforts to establish a four-year university on the South Side of San Antonio.

Details for a memorial service next week are still pending and will be shared as soon as they are available. The University flag will remain at half-staff until sundown on the day of the memorial service.
