EDAD 5317 Introduction to Superintendency (Summer)

In this course students will analyze the nature, functions and activities of the public-school superintendency including: historical and philosophical foundations : professional staff relations and management; public relations and communication; community relations and responsibilities, and the functions of planning, directing and supervising the instructional enterprise.

EDAD 5351 Advanced Personnel Management and Human Relations (Summer)

In this course, students will gain a greater understanding of the practices of district administration as it concerns to selecting, retaining, and evaluating school personnel placement, campus needs assessment salaries, benefits, maintenance of morale, collective bargaining, and student performance are addressed.

EDAD 5352 Advanced Educational Finance and Facilities (Fall)

This course will explore creative and systematic planning od school facilities focusing on translation of psychological and educational needs into physical form and design. Students will research theories and practices for space allocation, organizational structure, budgeting and finance.

EDAD 5381 Educational Equity: Advocacy for All Students (Fall)

This course will explore complex programs in administering and managing special programs in public schools such as vocational and technical education, special education, career education, bilingual education, gifted & talented education, and other areas impact by Federal funds.

EDAD 5385 Superintendent Internship Practicum (Spring, 160 clock hours of administrative internship)

This course will explore complex problems in administering and managing special program in public schools such as vocational and technical education, special education, career education, bilingual education, gifted & talented education, and other areas impact by Federal funds.
