TAMU-SA CEC offers students the chance to connect with other professionals in the area of exceptional children. This is a very active chapter which participates in various community and national events. Both graduate and undergraduate students are welcome to join!

Joining the national Council for Exceptional Children is easy! Please visit www.cec.sped.org and select student membership. The membership rate is greatly reduced for students and allows you the opportunity to access all of CEC’s resources. When joining, please select our local chapter, number 1208.

Student Council for Learning Disabilities (SCLD)
The purpose of this student organization is to promote evidence-based teaching, collaboration, research, leadership, and advocacy for persons with a learning disability as well as all other struggling learners. The work of SCLD focuses on providing a way to move forward the cause of educating everyone about learning disabilities in academia and the community. SCLD is proud to be the ONLY student CLD chapter in the nation! SCLD members strive to help anyone who is interested in gaining knowledge to apply in their future careers and personal lives.
