New activity at the Texas A&M-San Antonio Educational & Cultural Arts Center

Texas A&M University-San Antonio and Univision San Antonio signed a multi-year lease agreement on August 9 to lease space at the University's downtown Educational & Cultural Arts Center. The project will allow Univision to maintain a presence in the downtown area and bring a major media company's activities to the Educational & Cultural Arts Center. Texas A&M-San Antonio is also excited to welcome the center's first director of cultural programs, Alicia Viera. Read more on these developments in the San Antonio Express-News or the San Antonio Business Journal.

Changing the landscape of San Antonio forever

Texas A&M-San Antonio was honored to be featured in "A Rising Southside," a look at the many developments happening each day in our own neighborhood of the city as featured in local online news magazine, The Rivard Report. We are proud to stand by our neighbors including Brooks City-Base, Toyota, and Palo Alto College in re-shaping the future of San Antonio.

Serving our community

Dr. Ferrier spoke on the importance of service, a core value of Texas A&M-San Antonio, at an open forum as part of the graduation exercises for the Alamo Colleges Public Allies program on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. The achievements of the thirteen AmeriCorps members in the Public Allies program were also recognized by Paul Schmitz, founder and CEO of Public Allies and Dr. Bruce Leslie, chancellor of the Alamo Colleges, and other community leaders. Congratulations to the new class of world-changers!

The commencement of a new year
