Dear Members of the Campus Community,
I invite you to join me and the newly appointed Strategic Planning Committee for a Town Hall Meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Vista Room. Lunch will be provided.
This is an extraordinarily busy time for our burgeoning university; however, we have some specific system expectations that challenge us to move forward with a formal update to our campus strategic plan. This iterative process will occur over the remainder of this calendar year and officially adopted by December 31, 2016.
Your inspiration and dedication has helped guide our journey thus far, and now it is time for us to carefully engage in a campus-wide consultative process to update the Strategic Plan that will guide us through the next period of transformative growth. As part of our shared governance and organizational culture of transparency, this is an opportunity for you to participate in a two-way conversation and share in the University's historical pathway to becoming a National Model for Student and Academic Success!
Given the magnitude of this strategic plan and the coinciding downward expansion process, the university has completed a competitive RFP for strategic planning services; the firm selected is American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Penson Group.
I encourage you to join me in this important endeavor, as it is vital to the future of our great university!
Sincerely,
Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson
President
