Alternative Transportation and Parking Task Force - Campus Announcement
Dear Members of the A&M-San Antonio Community:
There has been a lot of talk about current needs and future plans for campus parking and transportation options at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. These are important topics not only for our students, but also our faculty and staff. With this in mind, I am pleased to announce that the members of the Alternative Transportation and Parking Task Force have been formally appointed and have begun meeting. The Task Force is an advisory group that reports to Bill Spindle, Vice President for Business Affairs.
The charge of the Alternative Transportation and Parking Task Force is to assess, evaluate and recommend alternate transportation and parking models for our growing institution. The Task Force's advice may include, but is not limited to, specific recommendations on parking accommodations, fee and fine structures; shuttle services and transportation issues; and lighting and security.
As part of my commitment to shared governance, the Task Force members are listed below. I had a large number of volunteers who expressed interest in serving, and they will be called upon as needed to help advance the Task Force's work.
