Dear Members of the A&M-SA Community:
On November 5, the President's Commission on Equity (PCOE) will host the inaugural Fall Diversity Forum as part of its continuing effort to build a culture of excellence that values diversity, equity and inclusion. I hope you will plan to attend this equity-minded event in the Vista Room beginning at 11 a.m.
Ms. Jordana Barton, senior advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, will share her insights on a study entitled "Worst Connected Cities 2016" by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance. This study found that among major U.S. cities, San Antonio has one of the highest percentages of households lacking internet access at home. Ms. Barton will also field questions from the audience, and the event will conclude with a table-top exercise.
Registration for this important event is open now until October 31 at 5 p.m.
A&M-SA's success depends upon our shared commitment to create a campus environment where all students, faculty, staff and guests are welcome to share diversity of thought. With the inaugural Fall Diversity Forum, we will take another significant step on our march to accomplish this important goal.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Teniente-Matson
President
