Dear Members of the A&M-San Antonio Community:
With the passing of former President George H.W. Bush on Friday, our University joins the nation in mourning. Our State of Texas and American flags will fly at half-staff until sunrise on Monday, Dec. 31, in honor and respect for his remarkable life and exemplary public service.
President Bush was an American hero whose lifelong dedication to serving his country is an inspiration to all of us. I hope that each of you will take time to remember his life and celebrate his example of duty, sacrifice and commitment to serving the greater good.
