University Closed Dec. 5 - Day of Mourning for President Bush

Dear Members of the A&M-San Antonio Community:

In honor of the late President George H.W. Bush, I have approved closing the University on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

No classes will take place and University offices will be closed. The University Library (8 a.m. - 10 p.m.), Central Academic Building Computer Labs (all day) and the Cafeteria will be open. Non-University events being held on campus will occur as planned.

On this official day of mourning, please join the entire A&M System in honoring the life and achievements of President Bush. Funeral services are updated on the Official U.S. State Funeral site.

In addition to the closure, I have approved up to eight hours of leave requested by the benefits-eligible employees be credited back to the employees' leave balances based on A&M-San Antonio Procedure 31.02.02.00.01, Leave of Absence with Pay.
