Apply New program will give students a convenient option for buying books
SAN ANTONIO – Texas A&M University-San Antonio today launched Jaguar Day One, a new program providing students with an alternative way to buy books and course materials.
The program is a new offering this semester, allowing students to pay for their books with a flat $25 per credit hour fee, rather than paying for books and required course materials in one lump sum at the start of the semester. The program is voluntary, and students can opt-out of the program if they would rather purchase their books another way.
“We’re always looking for ways to help our students succeed,” said Brandy McLelland, vice president for enrollment management. “The Jaguar Day One is a great option for many students to cover their book costs without getting one big bill. We’re committed to doing whatever we can to make Texas A&M-San Antonio both affordable and attainable.”
In addition, A&M-San Antonio has partnered with Follett Higher Education Group to provide students with up to seven free eBooks from participating publishers, as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to ensure students have what they need to continue their learning in spite of the COVID-19 outbreak.
