A&M-San Antonio assumes ownership of student housing

SAN ANTONIO – Texas A&M University-San Antonio  

Texas A&M University-San Antonio, with support from the Texas A&M University System, is pleased to announce it will assume ownership its student housing facility Esperanza Hall as of April 7, 2021. This shift away from the original private-public partnership allows the University to maintain its outstanding service for Esperanza Hall residents and enhance the Jaguar living experience. American Campus Communities (ACC) will continue to manage Esperanza Hall, along with all existing and future leases.  

“Our goal is to provide an academic success-oriented living environment for students and this is reinforced by our assuming ownership,” said Dr. Mari Fuentes-Martin, Vice President for Student Success and Engagement. “The lifelong benefits of living on campus cannot be overstated and we will continue to create a community that enhances student learning and supports student success.”
