First-Year Seminar redesign - A&M-SA offers incoming students an FYS course that is designed to acclimatize them to a college environment. seminar course, so it serves as a transformative starting point for vertically integrated pathways. FYS will also be designed to include more career exploration activities that will help students understand their pathways from college to career as well as to start exploring experiential learning
Pursuing Resources, Opportunities, Wellness, and Learning (PROWL) – PROWL is a peer spring mentorship program focused on supporting first-year students who take FYS in the fall with the goal of supporting students through challenges, fostering a sense of belonging, career connections, and increasing retention to second year.
