Campus Safety and Security is dedicated to providing a safe environment for all members of the campus community. Risk, Safety and Emergency Management meets this mission through continuous training and education. Risk, Safety and Emergency Management personnel will strive to be fair and courteous in the enforcement of all regulations and professional in the services they provide to the campus community.  

Emergency Response Guide

This handbook is intended for use by the Texas A&M University-San Antonio faculty, staff, students and guests. This guide has been provided by the Division of Campus Safety and Security and is designed to serve as a quick reference guide during emergencies. Employees should become familiar with its contents, and should be trained to follow these procedures and the building evacuation plan for his/her respective area.

Emergency Operations Plan (EOP)

The Texas A&M-San Antonio Emergency Operations Plan utilizes the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) and includes policies, general procedures for a wide range of emergencies and various levels of emergencies. In addition, the plan contains organizational components, response protocol, the establishment of the President’s Emergency Advisory Council, and emergency response team staff who all receive training on a regular basis and participate in emergency exercises.

Business Continuity Plan  

The Texas A&M-San Antonio Business Continuity Plan utilizes the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) and includes policies, general procedures for a wide range of emergencies and various levels of emergencies.

JagE Alert - Emergency Notification System 

JagE Alert is Texas A&M University-San Antonio's mass notification. In the event of an emergency, such as inclement weather, students, staff and faculty, who are registered will have the option receive a text message, email and/or phone call with instructions and updates.  To register, click here, create an account and login to update your contact information.

Environmental Health & Safety

TAMU -SA Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan

In accordance with Health and Safety Code, Chapter 81, Subchapter H, and analogous to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, Texas A&M University San Antonio (TAMU-SA) uses the Exposure Control Plan to prevent or minimize the exposure of employees to bloodborne pathogens.
