Dear Members of the A&M-SA Community:

Today we are shocked and saddened at the senseless violence that has taken the lives of so many innocent people at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, about 30 miles east of San Antonio.

Our thoughts and prayers are with family members of the victims as well as those who were injured and other survivors. We are grateful for the brave law enforcement personnel and other first responders who treated the injured and prevented further violence.
