One morning, at a small
restaurant in Mexico while having
breakfast with friends, I notices
what looked like a mother and daughter
in deep conversation at the table
next to us.

They were enjoying each other’s
company.

I had to interrupt their banter
to ask if I might take their photo.

After a bit of cajoling,
hija agreed.
