Things to do in San Antonio
The Alamo
You kind of can't visit the city and not visit the Alamo. It's one of the best things to do in San Antonio that's totally iconic. Not only that, it's one of the most important historical sites in the United States and protected as such. You see, way back when, the Battle of the Alamo was played out here back in 1836.
Andretti Indoor Karting and Games
Take your next adventure outing to new heights! Visit Andretti's Indoor Karting & Games for excitement-filled activities, games, rides, zip-lining, and the only multi-level indoor track in Texas.
Central Market Cooking School

Japanese Tea Gardens
Originally a rock quarry, part of the tea garden came from a donation by George W. Brackenridge and another section from Emma Koehler. In 1915 Ray Lambert, city parks commissioner, thought it would make a nice location for a lily pond.
Natural Bridge Caverns
The Natural Bridge Caverns are home to the biggest commercial cave system in Texas. Above-ground adventures include zip lining, a rope course, a maze, gem mining, shopping and dining. But the primary reason to visit the caverns is to partake in one of the five underground tour options, which include tours lit by only lanterns and others that explore the caverns' hidden passages.
The Riverwalk
Sightseeing, shopping, food, and fun. All on a world-renowned 15-mile urban waterway. The River Walk, or Paseo del Rio, is a San Antonio treasure and the largest urban ecosystem in the nation. Tucked quietly below street level and only steps away from the Alamo, it provides a serene and pleasant way to navigate the city.
San Antonio Museum of Art
Although it may not be as large as other art museums, the San Antonio Museum of Art is a cultural gem that's not to be missed. It hosts top-notch collections of Native American, Spanish colonial and Latin American art. What's more, the museum is also home to the largest collection of Asian art in Texas, not to mention a respectable grouping of more contemporary pieces.
San Antonio Zoo
Get up close to majestic tigers, playful gibbons, lazy hippos, and other fascinating creatures at the San Antonio Zoo. Home to thousands of exotic animals, the zoo is a guaranteed hit with people of all ages. You have the opportunity to feed a giraffe and watch zookeepers going about their daily tasks. The zoo also provides an educational experience where you can learn about animal habits and wildlife conservation.
